The Sims Vanilla is a dual twin tip featuring our transform camber, a flat camber that rolls into the traditional camber right before the contact points. A loose and easy-to-pivot board with a solid edge hold through the tip and tail, the Sims Vanilla excels in the park and pipe, on groomers and side hits.

The Sims Vanilla is built on the Sims masters core profile, a light poplar wood core with two parallel bamboo stringers running tip to tail under the hole pattern. Carbon stringers overlay the bamboo, our double I-carbon wide layup, for increased torsional rigidity and overall response. Flexible thin tip tech reduces material at the ends of the board for less swing weight on rotations. Overlaid with tri-tex fiberglass, the sims’ most advanced 3D matrix, and finished with a premium racing base by Isosport, the industry leader in base technologies.

Profile: Transform Camber

Sims’s Transform Camber is one of the most versatile camber profiles in the Sims range. Combining the best of both flat and traditional camber profiles, it delivers the secure edge hold of conventional camber with the loose flexibility of flat camber. This innovative profile delivers a lively, intuitive ride that feels free and controlled.

Construction

When it comes to construction, the Vanilla puts most boards at this price point to shame. Heading up the high-end built is the responsive Masters Core. Built utilizing lightweight poplar with two tip-to-tail bamboo stringers running lengthwise through the center, it delivers a smooth yet overall poppy feel. Sims then use a 2-way layup that combines Light fiberglass at 0º and 90º. This creates a more progressive flex ideally suited to lighter riders. To add an extra level of pop through the length of the board, Sims adds two tip-to-tail carbon stringers running either side of the insert pack close to the side cut. These increase power through the length and improve both response and control on the edge.
